Level IV - Critical Sensitive/Top Secret Package
- SSN Verification
- Education Verification
- Employment Verification for 5 years
- Residence Verification for 3 years
- Criminal Court Searches for all locations within the last five years
- Civil Court Search for all locations within the last five years

- Predetermined Analysis- green (all clear), yellow (proceed with caution) and red (derogatory information present)
*All work will be conducted by database searches and/or interviews by telephone.
Pre-Clear Component Definitions:
SSN Verification – The subject's social security number will be researched in our database to ensure the subject is eligible to work in the United States.
Education Verification – USIS investigative staff will verify the applicant’s highest degree. Contact is made telephonically by USIS directly through the Institution's Registrar/Student Record Office or by electronic search.
Employment Verification – USIS investigative staff will conduct a record verification and one best available source interview at each listed employment within the scope of work determined by the package purchased. An in-depth interview will be conducted with the best available source to learn the subject's character and work ethic. The interview(s) will be conducted via telephone or through a database search. A total of 3 attempts by phone, fax or database search will be made to verify the employment.
Residential Verification – USIS investigative staff will conduct a record verification and one best available source interview will be conducted at all residences listed during the scope of work determined by the package purchase. A rental record will be obtained if applicable. An in-depth interview will be conducted with one neighbor to learn the subject's character and lifestyle. The interview(s) will be conducted via telephone. A total of 3 attempts by phone or fax will be made to verify the residence.
Criminal Court Search – USIS will provide a search and examination of county criminal court records through the courthouse(s) maintaining jurisdiction in the county(s) of residence, employment and education for the past five (5) years. Searches will be conducted on current name listed on the personal history statement.
Civil Court Search – USIS will provide a search and examination of county civil litigation records, through the county courthouse(s) maintaining jurisdiction in the county of residences, employment and education for the past five (5) years. Searches will be conducted on current name listed on the personal history statement.
Credit History – USIS will provide a copy of the applicant’s credit history (for employment purposes), via USIS' national credit bureau database.
Predetermination Analysis – The findings will undergo our analysis to determine the likelihood that the subject will pass their clearance process. The result will be color-coded: green (all clear), yellow (proceed with caution) and red (derogatory information present) based on the federal guidelines for the contracting agency.
