Fingerprint Collection

USIS has established a comprehensive nationwide network to bring you live scan (electronic) fingerprint capabilities in safe, sterile, medical clinic locations. This allows us to ensure complete information privacy of your employees and applicants. The transaction is processed by professionals trained to properly handle chain of custody information.

The fingerprint collection process is simple for both the employer and applicant.

  1. The employer places an order on the USIS web platform.
  2. Based on the zip code of the applicant, USIS determines the appropriate collection site and then sends an easy-to-read chain of custody document with a barcode to the employer which directs the applicant to the nearest collection site for processing.
  3. The applicant then visits one of our medical center partner locations where the transaction will be conducted in a professional, sterile environment.
  4. The status of the process is posted on the USIS ordering website for the employer to view.

USIS’ fingerprint collection is supported by multiple agencies, including the following channeling agencies: American Bankers Association (ABA), National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the NY Clearinghouse.

When needed, we can utilize our database of over 17,000 ink and card collection sites for those remote locations that may not have access to nearby live scan centers. We will then scan those cards using an FBI certified scanner, convert the prints to digital format and send them electronically to the proper repository.
