DATE: March 2, 2006 SUBJECT: Employment Screening and Security Services' customer solutions - USIS executives expand business and customer support USIS, a worldwide provider of total client solutions in human resources background investigations, pre-employment and drug screenings, insurance information services, due diligence and risk management assessment, and security and related professional services to businesses, federal agencies and institutions, has named Michelle Rubie-Smith as National Security Group - Vice President with its global security business. USIS also named Jay Hoffman as Vice President of Sales with its pre-employment screening and drug testing services business. The changes are effective immediately. Rubie-Smith, who has over 16 years of experience in security services and 10 years of experience in a broad range of functions and leadership positions within USIS's investigative services business, will direct the team servicing the intelligence communities, lead new business development opportunities, and manage more than 1,000 personnel. She will report to Randy Rehovich, president of the professional services business. Hoffman - who has more than 18 years of sales and business development experience with leading companies such as Philips Medical Systems, Chart Industries, and Fuji Medical Systems - previously led business development for USIS's investigative services business. In his new role, Hoffman will lead USIS's strategically dispersed National Sales Team and will report to Tim Dowd, president of the commercial services business. The National Sales Team will offer a portfolio of services that encompasses every commercial product offered by USIS. The team will use a consultative and "total solutions" approach to solve customer challenges in areas such as pre-employment screening, drug testing, business risk mitigation, and private investigations. The team will be backed-up by USIS's proprietary data bases. USIS's commercial services business already assists more than 33,000 customers across the U.S. in the aviation, trucking, financial services, retail, healthcare, insurance, and gaming industries.
