USIS Investigative Services wins contract from U.S. Customs and Border Protection

FALLS CHURCH , Va., May 9, 2007 – USIS, a leader in pre-employment screening and insurance services and the largest provider of security investigations to the U.S. government, is a successful bidder for a contract to conduct field investigations associated with security clearance screening and employment for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Terms of the contract were not released.

The contract is being managed by USIS’ investigative services business, which also provides field investigation and support services to the Office of Personnel Management under a previously announced contract. USIS has more than 3,000 field investigators involved in providing important investigations work in support of national security.

With over 41,000 employees, the CBP is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security with the responsibility for managing, controlling, and protecting the nation’s borders at and between official ports of entry.
