DATE: June 1, 2006 - Falls Church, VA SUBJECT: USIS National Advertising Campaign is a new look for a leader; key are expanded services, market leadership, customer focus FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 1, 2006 - USIS, a leader in background screening and the largest provider of security investigations to the U.S. government, has launched a "new look" national advertising campaign that highlights the company's expanded services, market leadership, and customer-focused services. Advertisements are appearing in top-level trade publications that reach human resources and security professionals, and are running in regional publications in several areas of the U.S. where USIS is conducting new employee hiring campaigns designed to meet the needs of the growing company. "USIS advertised in a more limited way in the past," said Randy Dobbs, CEO of USIS. "While people in federal agencies and leaders of companies across the U.S. knew a little about us because of our reputation for performance, it was time for us to broaden our reach. With our growing businesses in the federal and commercial sectors, and offerings that include a wide range of security, training, consulting, staffing, and pre-employment screening services, we will now demonstrate USIS's strength in the marketplace." The company also recently unveiled a new corporate identity defining the company's core competencies and positioning the company as a leading provider of pre-employment background screenings and national security training and consultation services. "Some people still think we are part of the federal government," said Philip Sweeney, senior vice president of business development, who has been with the company since its earliest days. "We were formerly the Office of Federal Investigations, a government agency that was privatized in 1996. Now, as we reach our tenth anniversary as a private company, with significantly growing capabilities and services, we knew it was the right time to create additional brand awareness with a national advertising campaign." USIS will showcase its new corporate identity at the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) National Conference and Exhibition being held June 25 through 28 in Washington, D.C. USIS's booth (#3015) will be located on the main exhibition floor. Representatives from USIS will be available to discuss the company's wide-range of services. "One of the key points we will discuss with people interested in our commercial services, is that many companies seeking pre-employment screening assistance don't receive the personalized service they need to solve their individual screening and pre-employment challenges," said Tim Dowd, president of USIS's commercial services business that is based in Tulsa, Okla. "We provide an integrated, end-to-end solution focused on each customer's need for speed, accuracy, and cost effective screening solutions. We work alongside our customers and provide them the comfort of knowing the right people are chosen for each position within their company."
