Security Investigations company discusses 9-11, Patriot Day
USIS CEO honors Americans working to keep nation secure

On the fifth commemoration of a day when extraordinary acts of hatred changed the way that Americans think about domestic security, Randy Dobbs, CEO of USIS, addressed the company's 7,000 employees in a company-wide message about the importance of national service and the need to remember the challenges of today's world.

USIS provides security services to corporate and government clients, is the largest supplier of security investigations to the U.S. government, and has the largest team of security investigators in North America.

CEO Randy Dobbs' message to all USIS employees:

Today, September 11, is Patriot Day, which was officially established as a time to remember the innocent victims of terrorism, the heroic bravery of those who came to their aid, and the national solidarity and patriotism that pulled us through those dark days in 2001.

Five years later, Americans, along with citizens of other nations, continue to risk their lives in the global war against terrorism. USIS employees are currently on active-duty military status, and many others have served in the past or will serve in the future. USIS employees have also served as police, fire, and rescue professionals, and USIS employees serve in these critical jobs today on a voluntary basis. USIS supports and honors our men and women in uniform - as well as others who serve our nation and the communities in which we live - for the sacrifices they make to ensure our freedom and safety. On this solemn day of remembrance, we also honor the collective contribution that we as a company make every day to national security and the fight against terrorism through the many security services that we provide to the federal government and private industry.

There are a number of ways to commemorate Patriot Day, and each of us should do what feels appropriate. One suggestion is to display the American flag as a reminder of the patriotic strength that enables our nation to thrive and move forward in the face of threats to freedom loving peoples around the world. Flags at USIS locations will be prominently displayed and flown at half-staff where possible. Other ways of commemorating the day include a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time - the time of the first attack in 2001 - as well as remembrance services, candlelight vigils, and personal reflection.

However you decide to commemorate this day, I extend my personal thanks for the work you do each and every day to make our nation stronger and more secure. USIS is an important part of a comprehensive national effort to keep America safe and secure. You should feel proud of your contribution to this important effort. I am proud to lead a company that is making a difference, and the reason we make a difference is because of the quality, professionalism, and integrity that each of you brings to your job every day.
