USIS workforce featured in Microsoft case studyFALLS CHURCH, Va., March 28, 2007- USIS, a leading provider of background screening and investigation services, including pre-employment and government clearance screening, and the largest provider of background investigations to the federal government is featured in a case study posted on Microsoft’s website. USIS employs approximately four thousand mobile staff members nationwide. Its investigators and sales staff need reliable, mobile handheld devices to send and receive internal correspondence, and communicate with clients. The desire to improve communications among a widely dispersed workforce led USIS to seek a solution that would be easily implemented, work with existing IT infrastructure, and allow for lower administration costs. In late summer 2006, forty USIS employees took part in a 90-day pilot program and were given mobile e-mail phones equipped with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Messaging platform with Inbox, Calendar, Contacts, and Task functionalities. The system also allowed IT managers to remotely enforce corporate policies such as mandatory PIN passwords and remote device wipe to protect USIS’ intellectual property. Find out how Windows Mobile 5.0 with Messaging and Security Feature Pack worked for USIS by reading the case study at the Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/casestudies/casestudy.aspx?casestudyid=201074 Media Contact # # # |
