USIS expands IT team talent with focus on growth, capabilities

USIS, a worldwide provider of screening and security services to corporate and government clients and the largest supplier of security investigations to the U.S. government, has named Rory Job to the position of director of technology architecture. The appointment is effective immediately and he will report to James Choi, vice president and chief technology and information officer.

"Our ability to deliver business value through the cost effective implementation of scalable and robust technologies is central to USIS's mission and our growth strategy," said Choi. "Rory will be responsible for working with divisions and functional teams to develop strategies that optimize our technology platforms across USIS. This is critical to our continuing industry leadership position and a key method we will use to reduce internal costs through smart standardization."

Job has more than 14 years of IT experience which ranges from software engineering and independent consulting skills to product development and IT product marketing experience. In his most recent position, Job managed the development and execution of top line strategies at BatchMaster Software, Inc. His work created sales growth and market expansion for the company and helped it become a leader in the enterprise resource planning segment of the IT industry.

Other moves taken by USIS to expand the talents of its IT organization as the company plans for new growth and market opportunities include the addition of three new employees.

Colleen Forrester has joined USIS as IT project manager reporting to Catherine DeLeonardis, director of information security and business systems. In this role Forrester will lead USIS's Sarbanes-Oxley Act IT compliance programs. Prior to USIS, Forrester owned and managed her own IT consulting company.

"Colleen's wide-ranging skills will help us further develop our IT team thanks to her solid project management skills and in depth knowledge of IT processes," said DeLeonardis. "Colleen is a pro and she will help us take our team to a new level of performance."

Syed Raza has joined the USIS IT team as a business systems analyst and will serve as part of the eProcess team that reports to Aaron Lavigne, USIS's director of eProcess. Raza most recently worked as a technology consultant specializing in meeting the needs of the automotive industry. In his last assignment, he was an analyst in Ford Motor Company's department of business development and marketing.

"Syed brings to this position the tremendous skills and business acumen he learned in the very tough and highly competitive auto industry," said Lavigne. "He will work closely with the USIS IT application development team and business leaders across USIS on several key initiatives. We will also look to him for assistance in standardizing our internal IT application development processes that support our business needs."

Candy Vought has joined USIS in the newly created position of applications support specialist. She will report to Lori Grossman, an application support system team leader in DeLeonardis's organization. Vought has been a USIS employee for more than six years, and she is transitioning from USIS’s payroll department. She will assist the finance staff in maintaining and refining its IT processes.
