Association and USIS team to help homes for the aging Some members of the nation's oldest generation, just when they should be feeling their safest, are being subjected to an element intent on harming them in homes for the aging. What can be done to ensure that these homes are the safe havens that both residents and staff expect them to be? The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AASHA), which serves two million people through not-for-profit care facilities dedicated to providing a continuum of aging services through quality people can trust, is providing answers by offering its members "how to" information for developing a robust resident and employee screening program. The free suggestions, provided by USIS's Commercial Services business, can help homes for the aging rethink background screening strategies. These strategies that can help ensure high quality care for the aged in our society can be found at http://www.aahsa.org/money_saving/gp_articles_info/default.asp USIS's Commercial Services business, which is based in Tulsa, Okla., provides criminal records searches, credit reports, motor vehicle reports, employment and education verifications, drug testing, and other products which assist more than 33,000 customers across the U.S. in the healthcare, aviation, trucking, retail, insurance, and gaming industries.
