USIS' new HR leader has broad experience in building company teams

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 14, 2006 - USIS, a worldwide provider of screening and security services to corporate and government clients and the largest supplier of security investigations to the U.S. government, has named David Whitmore to the position of senior vice president of human resources. Prior to joining USIS, Whitmore was senior vice president of human resources and administration for Municipal Mortgage and Equity LLC of Baltimore, Md. Whitmore will serve on USIS's senior executive team and will report to Randy Dobbs, CEO of USIS.

Whitmore was selected to fill this key executive position because of his extensive experience in leading human resource organizations, integrating new acquisitions into businesses, and creating strategies that improved a business's recruiting, retention, and development programs.

"What impressed me about David's background and accomplishments was his thorough understanding of business strategies and human resources programs that create business growth opportunities," said Dobbs.

Whitmore has experience in a wide-range of businesses and industries in both government and commercial markets. Prior to his most recent position, Whitmore held a series of senior executive and leadership positions of increasing responsibility with companies such as Lockheed Martin, Dyncorp, FMC Corporation, Navistar International, Columbia Energy Group, and Scienctech Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University, a Master of Science degree in Education-Personnel and Guidance from Northern Illinois University, and holds a professional instructor certification in Psychology and Counseling. His community work includes serving on the board of the Babe Ruth Sports Legend Museum in Baltimore, Md.
