SUBJECT: USIS Finance Team Expands Capabilities, Corporate Services

USIS, a worldwide provider of total client solutions in human resources background investigations, pre-employment and drug screenings, insurance information services, due diligence and risk management assessment, and security and related professional services to businesses, federal agencies and institutions, has named Bart Witteveen as corporate vice president of financial planning and analysis, and Mshyka Davis as assistant treasurer.

Witteveen's responsibilities include leading the budget and planning cycles, driving finance process improvement, and communicating business results to various stakeholders. He reports to David Kaminsky, senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer, at USIS headquarters in Falls Church, Va.

Witteveen had a 14-year career in finance positions at GE, including serving as business lead customer profitability/finance IT manager for the GE Capital Solutions/VFS business in Danbury, Conn.; financial planning and analysis leader for GE Medical Systems in Europe, and various finance positions of increasing responsibility with GE Medical Systems in Asia and GE Plastics in the United States.

Mshyka Davis's responsibilities as assistant treasurer include treasury services, cash management, and bank relations. She also works closely with the USIS treasury operations group and each business to establish policies, controls, and procedures around working capital. Davis reports to Dave Logan, vice president and corporate controller, at USIS headquarters in Falls Church, Va.

Prior to joining USIS, Davis worked as an investment banking associate with Goldman, Sachs and Co. focusing on structuring debt and derivatives for municipalities. Prior to this, Davis served as senior treasury analyst for General Dynamics where her responsibilities included cash management, financial modeling, analytical support to the treasurer, and managing the surety bond and letter of credit portfolio, and worked as a consultant with KPMG's mortgage and asset-backed securitization group providing advisory and process reengineering services to some of the nation's largest commercial and residential mortgage banks.
