USIS hires Chief Information Officer for its Commercial Services Division

FALLS CHURCH , Va. , Oct. 2, 2007 - USIS has hired Eric Bergquist to be the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for its commercial services division (CSD) that provides background screening and drug testing services to commercial businesses across the U.S. Bergquist was most recently the vice president and CIO at Insure.com.

Bergquist will work at CSD’s Tulsa, Okla. headquarters and will report to James Choi , USIS’ vice president and chief technology and information officer. Bergquist will partner and work closely with the CSD leadership team, assisting them in day-to-day IT oversight, operations, and strategic vision.

As the CIO at Insure.com, Bergquist was responsible for all aspects of IT, leading development and delivery of IT functions. This included strategic planning, budgeting, systems development, daily operations, and continuous improvement. Choi said, “I was particularly impressed with Eric’s work at Insure.com because of his proven track record in initiating and implementing IT projects that increased revenue and reduced costs.”
