USIS CEO Randy Dobbs to become Executive Chairman of USIS Boards of Directors; Michael G. Cherkasky to assume duties as USIS CEO
FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 23, 2008 – Randy Dobbs, Chief Executive Officer of US Investigations Services, Inc. and its subsidiaries (USIS), will transition to a new role at the company, becoming the Executive Chairman of the USIS Boards of Directors. Michael G. Cherkasky, formerly the President and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC), the global professional services firm, will become the CEO of USIS and serve on the corporation’s boards of directors. The changes are effective Aug. 1, 2008.

Richardson, Chairman of the USIS Boards of Directors and a Managing Director of Providence Equity Partners. "As Executive Chairman, Randy will continue his close association with USIS and advise leadership on programs that will continue the company’s focus on operational excellence and initiatives that will help grow the company."
Mr. Dobbs joined USIS as CEO in February 2005. Prior to USIS, Mr. Dobbs served as President and CEO for Philips Medical Systems, North America, following more than 25 years with the General Electric Company where he held senior level positions of increasing responsibility.

Mr. Cherkasky was President and CEO of MMC and a member of the firm’s board of directors from Oct. 2004 through Jan. 2008. Prior to assuming these leadership positions, he was President and CEO of Kroll. Mr. Cherkasky joined Kroll in 1994 and held a series of leadership positions of increasing responsibility. He was named chief of Kroll’s New York Office in 1995 and chief of its North American Region in 1996. In 1997, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Executive Managing Director, and later that year he was promoted to President of Kroll. In May 2001, he became President and CEO of Kroll.
Mr. Cherkasky joined Kroll after a 16-year career in the criminal justice system as a trial attorney, administrator, and investigator. Early in his career, Mr. Cherkasky served as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He then became an Assistant District Attorney in New York County. While in the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Cherkasky served as a trial attorney, trial bureau chief, Chief of the Rackets Bureau, and Chief of the Investigations Division. In this capacity, he led the division’s investigations into fraud, corruption, money laundering, and organized crime.
Mr. Cherkasky earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1972 and his Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in 1975.
