USIS looks among its feet-on-the-street workforce for Investigators of the Year

FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 28, 2008 – The Investigative Services Division (ISD) of US Investigations Services, Inc. (USIS) has initiated an Investigator of the Year award to recognize the organization’s top investigators.

USIS, a leading provider of pre-employment screening solutions and the largest provider of security clearance investigations for the federal government, will select its top investigators based on professional and personal skills in areas such as production, leadership, morale, and team building.

USIS employs the largest team of field investigators in North America, and completed more than a half million field investigations in 2007. Vice President of USIS ISD Operations Douglas Steele says, “USIS investigators are federally credentialed on one or more contracts, put through rigorous training and refresher courses, and considered among the best and most respected in the personnel security industry.”

The selection process for the top field investigators will include local candidates from the district level to the broader business units. “The new award program will recognize the outstanding investigators in all of our seven business units around the country for their accomplishments and will involve monetary rewards and public recognition at the annual USIS leadership conference in the fall,” said Bill Mixon, president of ISD. One ISD Investigator of the Year will be selected from the seven business unit award winners.

USIS customers can count on positive growth, progress and development in 2008 due to the efforts of nearly 3,000 federally credentialed background investigators throughout the United States.
