USIS creates new position to support corporate growth activities
FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 20, 2008 – US Investigations Services, Inc. (USIS), a leading provider of pre-employment screening solutions and the largest provider of security investigations for the federal government, has made two personnel appointments designed to drive growth in the corporation and strengthen the business.
James Bromley is moving from corporate controller to become the corporation’s new director of corporate development. In this position he will report to Phil Sweeney, USIS’ senior vice president of corporate development. Bromley’s responsibilities will include developing acquisitive growth opportunities for all USIS businesses and supporting organic business development efforts such as developing strategic alliances and business partnerships. His mergers and acquisition responsibilities will include sourcing potential acquisitions, building the business case, and developing the strategic rationale as well as associated financial analysis and due diligence activities.
“Jimmy brings to this new opportunity his considerable skills as well as his knowledge of USIS and our businesses,” said Sweeney. “This is also another example of the many talented people we have in USIS, and how we can often look within our organization to find the right person to help our business move forward.”
Bromley’s corporate controller position will be filled by Albert “Jones” Tallent, who has been the corporation’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance manager.
Bromley, who started at USIS in 2004, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 10 years of industry experience in areas including financial reporting, SEC compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and public accounting. Tallent, who joined USIS in 2006, is a CPA with eight years of professional finance and accounting experience.
