USIS appoints leaders company-wide to drive business growth
FALLS CHURCH , Va. , Jan. 18, 2008 – US Investigations Services, Inc. (USIS),
a leading provider of pre-employment screening solutions and the largest provider
of security investigations for the federal government, has made several key personnel
appointments designed to strengthen the business and drive growth in its commercial
and government markets.
- Robert Mariani has started at USIS as vice president of business development for
the Investigative Services Division (ISD). Mariani will work in the Falls Church
headquarters and report to ISD President Bill Mixon. He will oversee all sales,
marketing, and product management functions for ISD, both in the government and
commercial business areas. He has held business positions in companies such as WilTel
Communications, SAIC, and AT&T.
- Shane Anderson has been selected for the new role of vice president of quality and
process improvement for the Commercial Services Division (CSD) in Tulsa, Okla. He
will report to CSD President John Moore. Anderson joined USIS in Jan. 2006 as the
director of process improvement and in Dec. 2006 he assumed the additional responsibilities
of leading drug & alcohol screening solutions operations at the USIS office
in Lincoln, Neb.
- Mike Goyer has been selected for the position of vice president of operations in
CSD in Tulsa, Okla. He will report to CSD President John Moore. Goyer joined USIS
in Aug. 2003 as the manager of order entry and was most recently senior director
of implementation for the commercial services business.
- Tom Davis has been named vice president of the federal-civil security group in the
National Security Division (NSD). Davis will work in the Falls Church headquarters
and report to NSD president Mike Fraser. Davis started as an investigator in USIS’
ISD business when he arrived in 2002, and since then he has held leadership positions
of increasing responsibility.
- Winn Williams has been named director, operations and personnel security, in NSD.
Williams will work in the Falls Church office and report to NSD president Mike Fraser.
He joined USIS in Aug. 2006 after three decades of service with the federal government
in the Housing and Urban Development Office of the Inspector General (HUD OIG).
- Dina Sassaman has been promoted to human resource manager in NSD and will work out
of the Falls Church office. Sassaman began with USIS in 2003 as a staffing specialist
in ISD. She will provide employee relations support to management in NSD and will
be responsible for assisting in the execution of various HR programs.
