Training

In support of the Department of State participation in the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), USIS provides a full range of training and as required, supports facilities for U.S. Partner Nations with a focus on Anti-terrorism training in law enforcement and security. The Anti-terrorism training includes over 75 courses ranging from Police Executive Role in Combating Terrorism to Advanced Crisis Response Team, Integrating Counter Terrorism Strategies at the National Level as well as Hostage Negotiations, Installation Security, and Cybersecurity. In addition, NSD can provide “role players” for necessary exercise scenarios as well as instructors for programs such as the Joint Military Attaché School. USIS also provides foreign in-country training in support of the Department of Defense by establishing the entire infrastructure, including facilities and classrooms/ranges with qualified instructors to support the training of over 1,500 Iraq personnel for Iraq’s Special Police Unit.
