USIS at the scene and equipped to do background checks on First Responders
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Jan. 24, 2008 – USIS, a national leader in pre-employment

is launching a new service by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the company’s
Investigative Services Division (ISD). The screening service is specifically designed
for use by law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and emergency medical services
for use in conducting thorough background investigations on employees.

use the professional skills of our staff from a law enforcement background to offer
new outsourcing options for the First Responder market,” said Bill Mixon,

The new First Responder product line offers four levels of investigations that range
from pre-employment screening to a full ten-year background investigation. The four
packages provide an attractive menu for agencies to select what level of investigation
works best for their department and their budget.
The company currently conducts background investigations for small, mid-sized and
large agencies including U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement, the New Mexico State Police and the Albuquerque Police Department.

investigations that meet or exceed state regulations for the First Responder market.
With more than 3,000 trained and security-cleared field investigators nationwide,
