USIS appoints leader of Labat-Anderson, USIS’ professional services firm
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Aug. 4, 2009 – USIS, a leading provider of security training, screening, litigation support, and information management solutions to government customers, has appointed Michael S. Santelli as president of Labat-Anderson, a professional services firm serving government agencies in the areas of litigation support and information systems and services.
Labat-Anderson, which was acquired by USIS in May of this year, has more than 600 employees and is headquartered in McLean, Va.
“Mike has the broad range of leadership skills required to complete our integration of Labat into the USIS family of businesses while creating new strategic growth opportunities for this division,” said William C. Mixon, CEO of USIS. “We intend to make investments in Labat that broaden the range of solutions we deliver to our government customers. Mike is the right leader to take this effort forward and better position this business in the markets we serve.”
“I look forward to leading one of USIS’ three businesses, which is a fundamental element of USIS’ strategic plan and growth strategy,” said Mr. Santelli. “We have exciting times ahead. With the Labat team’s subject matter expertise, combined with additional investments in the business by USIS, we are creating additional services and product offerings for our customers.”
Mr. Santelli has been with USIS since 1999 and most recently served as USIS’ vice president of strategy and corporate development. In 2008, he oversaw the integration that combined USIS’ Investigative Services Division (ISD) and National Security Division (NSD) into a single government business with expanded capabilities and services. Mr. Santelli served as ISD’s vice president of Western Pennsylvania operations for almost three years and was CFO of ISD during his early days with the company.
“Mike led our largest centrally located team of employees and drove many of the programs that transformed our business over the past several years,” said Mr. Mixon. “Now I am relying on Mike’s leadership, operational skills, and strategic vision to help us enhance Labat’s service and solution offerings while maintaining the excellent service levels that our government customers have come to expect.”
