USIS names Mike Petrullo as Senior Vice President

FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 27, 2009 – USIS, a national leader in employment screening, a leading provider of data and information solutions to the insurance industry, and the largest supplier of security investigations to the U.S. government, has appointed Mike Petrullo as a senior vice president reporting to USIS CEO Mike Cherkasky.

Petrullo will focus on organic and inorganic growth initiatives, working closely with the company’s senior vice president of growth and innovation, to expand the solutions USIS provides to its existing customers and to develop new opportunities in the government and commercial markets.

Prior to USIS, Petrullo had served as the senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) since January 2005. His responsibilities included corporate operations, human resources, marketing and communications, IT infrastructure, and security functions. Prior to that position, Petrullo served as chief financial officer for Marsh-Kroll Risk Consulting. During this period, Petrullo was responsible for several successful acquisition and merger transition efforts, including the successful integration of Kroll Inc. with MMC and the combination of Marsh’s Risk Consulting business into Kroll Inc.’s operations.

Petrullo was chief operating officer and executive vice president of Kroll Inc. from May 2002 to July 2004. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility with the company, beginning with his arrival at Kroll Associates in 1995 as assistant controller. From 1990 to 1995, Petrullo served as a member of the audit and assurance practice and forensic accounting practice of KPMG, Peat Marwick, LLP.

Petrullo has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pace University in New York.
